About Us
The Insurance Store of Carthage was founded by Kyle Catron, who began his journey in the insurance industry while still working as a banker. Selling insurance on the side, Kyle’s passion for helping people with their insurance needs grew. By 2005, he had built up the business enough to venture out on his own, dedicating himself fully to the Insurance Store of Carthage. Since then, Kyle has been committed to providing exceptional insurance services to the community.
In 2024, Tyler Smith joined the team, bringing with him 20 years of experience as a banker in the area. Tyler is eager to learn from Kyle and contribute to the growth and success of the business. Together, they aim to take the Insurance Store of Carthage to new heights, continuing to serve their clients with the same dedication and care that has been the hallmark of the company since its inception.
Company Story
I grew up in the charming town of Diamond, Missouri, and have been a dedicated lender in the area since 2003. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping countless individuals and families achieve their financial goals. My commitment to my clients and deep understanding of the local community are at the heart of my work.
When I’m not working, I love spending quality time with my wife, Lindsey, and our son, Crosby. We cherish the close-knit community and the values that Diamond has instilled in us. In my free time, you’ll often find me playing golf or cheering on the Mizzou Tigers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Kansas City Royals.

I was born and raised in Carthage and have lived here all but six years of my life. I am married to Kerry, a retired Kindergarten teacher, and have two children and four grandchildren. I am very active at The Bridge - a Christian Church here in Carthage. If I'm not at the office, you can probably find me on a golf course somewhere.

I was born and raised in Carl Junction, MO. In 2022 I graduated from MSSU with a BSBA in Marketing. I have several years of management experience along with various banking experience. I look forward to helping you with your insurance needs.
